This week we’re continuing our app redesign a new page header, favourites in your sidebar, and revamping our views feature!
An Improved Filters Experience
We’ve redesigned the filters UI to appear inline for a cleaner, more accessible experience—no more hidden drop downs.
Along with the visual update, we’ve added powerful new capabilities:
1. “Is empty”/“Is not empty” operators for more flexible filtering
2. Custom value entry for filters, even if the value isn’t in the predefined list:
3. Visibility into filtered-out options so you can see what’s being excluded based on the current context
Saved Views
SELECT has a lot of various filters, and you may configure a page to be particularly insightful, but forget what you did next time you visit. Saved views allow you to save your pages configuration for quick reuse later.
Here are some key enhancements we made:
A shiny new interface for configuring views, including icons and colours to make them easier to find.
New permissions around views: Views can now optionally be unique to you, shared between team members, or shared across the entire account.
Reasonable default views (coming soon): There’s a handful of pages where we’re adding some views by default to your accounts. Want to check up on all your failing workloads and what they cost? There’s a view for that! There’s far too many to list here, but expect to see these added to your account sometime next week.
A views page to keep track of all your views, including our new seeded views!
New options for managing your views: including default views - which will be preselected for you whenever you visit the page, and last but not least, favouriting a view to pin it to your sidebar!
Favorites
You can now favorite any page in SELECT along with saved views, so they appear at the top of your sidebar for quick and easy access!
Favorite pages from the breadcrumbs available on the header of a page
Favorite saved views from the saved views menu
Access, reorganize, and manage your favorites in the sidebar
