Select Labs Inc. ("Company") is committed to protecting the privacy of visitors of the SELECT website(s), individuals who register to use the products and services, individuals who register to attend the Company's corporate or other events, and business partners. This Privacy Notice ("Privacy Notice" or "Notice") describes our privacy practices in relation to the use of SELECT websites (including any customer portal or interactive customer website), its software, services, solutions, tools, and related applications, services, and programs, including attendance of corporate events and research and marketing activities, offered by SELECT (the "Services") as well as your choices regarding use, access and correction of personal data.

This Privacy Notice is meant to help you understand, among other things, what personal data we collect, why we collect it, and what we do with it.

We also describe the rights you may have and how you can contact us about our privacy practices. SELECT is responsible for the use of your personal data for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy - our contact information can be found in the "How to Contact Us" section.

We provide a cloud-based solution to enterprise customers. Aside from contact and account information, we generally do not have access to personal information processed by the Services unless we are providing configuration services, customer support or success services, quality assurance, testing or other professional services, or for administrative purposes. When we do have access to personal information of individuals, it is typically as a service provider or supplier to our customers, with limited exceptions, such as, for example when we collect information:

  • Through our Sites.
  • For our advertising, marketing, promotion, industry outreach and educational efforts (which are primarily in a business-to-business context versus direct to individual consumers).
  • In our relationships with employees, contractors, applicants and administrative and operational vendors and suppliers.

In our role as a service provider and supplier, we only process personal information of our customers as necessary to fulfill our obligations under our agreements with such parties and under applicable law.

Additional terms may apply for specific Services. If such terms apply, they will control over any conflicting terms in this Policy to the extent permitted under applicable law. If you are a customer, our Data Processing Agreement and CCPA Addendum also applies to our processing of your personal information in connection with providing our Services and is incorporated into your agreement for the Services.

Information we collect

We collect information from you when you register on our site or fill out a form. Any data we request that is not required will be specified as voluntary or optional. When registering on our site, as appropriate, you may be asked to enter your: name, e-mail address, mailing address or credit card information. You may, however, visit our site anonymously.

The information we may collect includes, without limitation:

  • Your name
  • Your email address
  • Snowflake access credentials
  • Financial details, including billing information
  • Metadata and data for interactions, such as: email addresses and names of participants, email headers that contain personal data, metadata of emails (times sent, etc.) that are linked to personal data, metadata about calls and meetings (timing, participants, etc.) that are linked to personal data, structured data stored by company about data subjects, including text notes about data subjects that contain personal data, and structured data about data subjects (e.g. columns and "magic columns") that contain personal data.

If you do not provide the required information you may not be able to subscribe to this product.

Use of Cookies

Cookies are small files that a site or its service provider transfers to your computer's hard drive through your Web browser (if you allow it) that enables the sites or service provider's systems to recognize your browser and capture and remember certain information. If you turn off cookies, you may still access the select.dev site and learn about the product, but using the SELECT app requires cookies in order to access workflow administration.

In addition to the information listed above, our website uses cookies and other technologies to function effectively. These technologies record information about your use of our website, including:

  • Browser and device data, such as IP address, device type, operating system and Internet browser type, screen resolution, operating system name and version, device manufacturer and model, language, plug-ins and add-ons;
  • Usage data, such as time spent on our website, pages visited, links clicked, language preferences, and the pages that led or referred you to our website.

We use Google Analytics to help us analyze your use of our website, diagnose technical issues and improve our website.

How we use the information we collect

Any of the information we collect from you may be used in one or more of the following ways:

  • To personalize your experience (your information helps us to better respond to your individual needs);
  • To improve our website (we continually strive to improve our service based on the information and feedback we receive from you);
  • To improve customer service (your information helps us to more effectively respond to your customer service and support needs);
  • Maintaining customer account records, in order to administer our business;
  • Importing and displaying Snowflake information using Snowflake provider access credentials;
  • Managing our customer relationships and communicating with our customers, in order to administer our business and to update our customers about new features and services that we may offer;
  • Ensuring compliance with applicable SELECT policies and procedures relating to our services, in order to ensure the security of our services and monitor compliance with our Terms of Service;

How we share personal data

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal information except in accordance with this policy. This does not include trusted third parties who assist us in operating our website, conducting our business, or servicing you, so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential. We may also release your information when we believe release is appropriate to comply with the law, enforce our site policies, or protect ours or others' rights, property, or safety. However, non-personally identifiable visitor information may be provided to other parties for marketing, advertising, or other uses.

We use sub-processors to provide us with some services that are necessary to provide the features of our website and business. Those sub-processors and the services they provide are listed here.

How we protect personal data

Retention of personal data

The time period for which we keep personal data depends on the purpose for which we collected it. In all cases we keep it for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which we collected it. We will then delete the personal data, unless we are legally required to retain it or if we need to retain it in order to comply with our legal obligations (for example, for tax and accounting purposes).

Your consent

By using our site, you consent to our privacy policy. If you do not consent to the collection and processing of the information required to be processed, we are unable to provide you with our service, and you should not use our site.

Changes to our Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated periodically to reflect changes in our personal data practices. We will post a notice on our website to notify you of any significant changes to our Privacy Policy and indicate at the top of the Privacy Policy when it was most recently updated.

Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to request access to and rectification of the personal data we maintain about you, or to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data or to object to that processing on grounds relating to your situation. In addition, you may have the right to request erasure of your personal data from SELECT's systems in certain circumstances provided by applicable law. Where technically feasible, upon written request and verifiable identification, we will provide you with a copy of the personal data provided to us by you in a structured, commonly used, machine readable format. To exercise these rights, please contact SELECT as indicated below. You may lodge a complaint with a data protection authority if you are not satisfied with our response.
