Use object tags in Usage Groups

Usage Groups allow users to flexibly allocate their Snowflake costs to different teams, departments or projects. Up until this point, we’ve required users to specify the object names they want to assign to each group. For large organizations with many users, role, databases, and warehouses, this can become challenging and cumbersome to maintain over time.

To help simplify Usage Group management and creation, we’ve added support for object tags. SELECT users can now automatically assign their Snowflake users, roles, warehouses, databases to Usage Groups based on any Snowflake object tag associated with that resource.
