About SELECT

We founded SELECT because of a very real problem we kept running into: data cloud platforms like Snowflake were becoming the fastest-growing areas of cloud spend, yet the tooling to observe and control that spend simply didn’t exist. Unlike infrastructure platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure, data cloud platforms like Snowflake are adopted by many more users across an organization and support orders of magnitude more workloads—making cost observability, governance, and optimization far more challenging.

Over the past three years, we’ve been incredibly fortunate to work with more than 250 customers who trusted us to help them understand, manage, and optimize their Snowflake environments. Together, we’ve seen how better observability and automation can dramatically reduce waste without slowing teams down, and how important this problem has become as data teams scale.

SELECT is joining DoiT!

Today, we’re excited to share a huge milestone for our team, and our customers: SELECT has been acquired by DoiT. DoiT is a global leader in FinOps and CloudOps, helping organizations connect cloud spend to real business outcomes through automation and action. We’re joining the DoiT team to accelerate our shared mission of helping data, cloud and Finops teams better observe, govern, and optimize their data cloud platforms.

What's next?

Importantly for our customers, nothing changes day to day. SELECT will continue to be offered as an independent product, the entire SELECT team will stay with us, and your day-to-day interactions, support channels, and key contacts remain the same. What does change is the scale behind us. With DoiT’s investment, we’ll be able to move faster—expanding our roadmap beyond Snowflake to platforms like Databricks, BigQuery, Microsoft Fabric, and more—while continuing to deliver and improve the product you rely on today.

Over time, our customers will also see benefits from tighter alignment with the DoiT Cloud Intelligence platform. While SELECT remains a standalone product, you will benefit from access to a richer ecosystem of integrations, shared intelligence, and proven cloud governance capabilities that extend beyond any single data platform.
