Until now, Teams could not manage their own members, roles, or data access. Changes to these traits needed an Admin on the SELECT Organization, which also controls SSO settings, connections, and every user in the organization. A team that only wanted to manage its own people had two options: ask a central admin each time, or receive a grant far wider than the job.
Two new roles give you a third option.
Team Creator is granted on the SELECT Organization. It allows one thing: create a team.
It grants no access to usage data, so grant it alongside typical data access roles such as Viewer on a connection or usage group.
When a Team Creator creates a team, they become a Team Admin of that team.
Team Admin is granted on a single team. On that team, a Team Admin can:
A Team Admin cannot widen their team’s view of your data, they can only grant access to what they can already see. You can find all the details on Team Admins in our docs.
With these new roles you can allow team leads to manage their own teams, without needing to involve an organization admin for routine tasks.
🪄 You can now edit, delete, and duplicate a block directly from the view dashboard page.
