Complete Coverage of Cortex and AI Costs in Snowflake

Today we are announcing full coverage of Cortex and AI costs for Snowflake.

Snowflake have invested heavily in their AI capabilities and there are now a multitude of new features, which in turn have complex billing data and are easy to rack up costs for if not closely monitored.

You can now use all the features of SELECT to understand, monitor, and be alerted on costs from these services, across:

1. Cortex Code (in both Snowsight and CLI, queries generated from these services are shown as custom workloads)
2. Cortex Analyst
3. Cortex Search
4. Cortex Search Serving
5. Cortex Agent
6. Cortex Fine Tuning
7. Cortex Provisioned Throughput
8. Snowflake Intelligence

In addition to our existing support for:

1. Cortex Functions
2. Document AI

To view these costs, simply head to the cost explorer and filter for service = 'AI Services'. To create a monitor for these costs, you can click the 'Create Monitor' button from the top right of that page.
