Announcing Custom SQL Monitors!

This week we’re introducing Custom SQL Monitors, a new feature that allows for more personalized monitoring of our customers’ Snowflake usage. While we already offer flexible monitors for the most common use cases, we know there is no universal solution for monitoring Snowflake usage.
This feature allows you to:
- Define a SQL query tailored to your Snowflake monitoring needs
- Schedule it to run on a preset Hourly / Daily / Weekly / Monthly or with a custom cron expression, giving you precise control over execution
- Use a powerful templating engine to craft a message for any of your existing destinations
Here’s an example of how you might configure a Custom SQL Monitor on failing tasks from the past day, in this case, you’d only be alerted if the query returns some results.
For more detailed setup instructions and additional suggested use cases, check out our documentation..
