Staying on top of your Snowflake environment is challenging, with new workloads being added or changed each day. To help users stay on top of critical activity in their account, we've added the ability for users to configure workload monitors.
Example uses cases unlocked from this feature include:
- Get notified if a particular workload type (tasks, dynamic tables, dbt models, etc.) spikes in costs
- Send a scheduled daily report of your slowest running queries
- Send a weekly report of your most expensive dbt models
In the next release, we'll be adding more granular filters to these workloads monitors allowing you to focus on a subset of workloads or specific criteria (i.e. queries that took longer than 1 hour).
