Understand Data Freshness and Row Count Changes

Friday, October 4, 2024

SELECT users can now easily monitor freshness and row count changes across all their tables, with 365 days of history. This is helpful for understanding data update patterns, along with diagnosing operational issues like job failures which lead to stale data.

For the table shown below, you can see that it updates once per day with about 350K rows each time. The data freshness typically stays under 24 hours, but on October 4 you can see there were no table updates (perhaps the job failed), and therefore the data is nearly 2 days stale.
