SELECT emerged from a clear reality we observed while building and scaling data platforms: as organizations increasingly bet their future on data, they need comprehensive solutions to manage the complexity and cost of their data infrastructure, wherever it runs.
Drawing from our experiences leading data teams at Capital One and Shopify, and consulting with Fortune 500 companies, we saw firsthand how the right tooling could transform the way teams operate. In 2022, we founded SELECT to give data teams one place to understand and optimize their data cloud spend, starting with Snowflake and expanding to Databricks and BigQuery as our customers' platforms grew.

How much does SELECT charge?

What type of access does SELECT need to my account?
SELECT requires read only access to your platform billing and usage metadata (for example Snowflake account usage views or Databricks system tables). We do not access any of the actual company data stored in your warehouse or lakehouse.
